I am so sorry to hear of your sister's passing. In trying to reconnect with Mary, I saw the notice about Cathy. I remember
How proud Mary was of her big sister. Sending prayers.

Such sad news, Kathy and I shared the Sunday shift at the Textile Museum, she was on reception and I was in the shop. We both live near the St.Lawrence market and I would often see her and sometimes join her on her walk Sunday morning to the Museum. She also encouraged me with my knitting projects but she was a much finer knitter than myself. She will be greatly missed by the Museum.

Kathy and I shared the front desk on weekends at the Textile Museum when I started volunteering there in 1999. She was always kind, witty and wiseand often helped to unknot a knitting mistake while we chatted. I am going to miss her quiet sense of humour and generous spirit. My condolences to all her family. She spoke about you with so much love.

Though I met Kathy as a volunteer of the Textile Museum of Canada in 2003, she became more than just a colleague; Kathy was a good friend. We shared the passing of a mutual friend early in our friendship. We exchanged books, along with stories, and she encouraged me to dive back into genealogy. I loved hearing her latest discoveries in her family tree, and amazed on her knitting prowess! The news of her passing is shocking. She was a kind woman, who spoke her mind, and loved Life & her family. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and acquaintances.

Sadden to hear about Kathy"s passing. She was someone who supported the Textile museum through her volunteering and patronage. Kathy would share her stories of her knitting adventures and I am thankful she pointed me towards shawl knitting.

Kathy was the best traveling companion. We had the best time sharing laughs and wine. Here we are at the Denver Art Museum.

I met Kathy on one of her knitting trips. We continued our friendship on Facebook and several more trips. She was such a delight to travel with and I loved it when her and Judy came to visit me. She will be missed.

So saddened to learn of Kathy’s passing. Even though we hadn’t been in touch for years, her death pulls at my heartstrings as we were very close when we were young. My condolences go out to you, Doug and Mary and to all those close to Kathy.

Kathy lived a life of quiet reserve , her talents and accomplishments were many in her career and in her private support of various causes and institutions. We travelled different roads in our lives, and although our paths did not often cross in recent years , I shall remember her as one who led by example, with dignity and grace. She was true to herself and her beliefs. She was my sister..
