Kathleen HOBSON Obituary

?Our dear mother, Kathleen Rosalind Hobson, also known as Roz, Rozzie or Nana, died April 22, 2024, in her home of 60 years, surrounded by her family. She is survived by Peter, Trish, Christine, Ben, Oscar, Ted, Laura and Arthur. Roz was a bright light in many people's lives, always full of energy and positivity. She made a lasting impact on all who met her. Roz was known for her quick wit and sense of humour, always up for a good joke, with her memorable laugh and a slap on her knee. She enjoyed skiing down the hills of Devil's Glen, her community in North Toronto, as well as cultural and travel adventures with her friends. Her cottage at Crozier Lake was her particular passion, where she enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren, boat rides on the lake or reading a good book. Given her love and connection with cottage life, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moorelands Camp (www.moorelands.ca/make-a-donation-in-memory-of-rosalind-hobson/) so we can continue her love of supporting young people to enjoy summer camp. She will be missed by many. Although we are heartbroken at her sudden and early departure from our physical lives, we would like to host an open house to allow all those who loved her to celebrate her one more time in her own home. Please email [email protected] for details. The date will be May 6th from 2-7 p.m.

Nana always made sure to check in on me and never forgot to send me her greetings during the holidays. She treated me like family and I will miss her and her usual check-ins so much.
Her sense of humor never failed to brighten my day. Sending my warm condolences to the entire family.

Roz, such a big, important and loving part of our Crozier Lake family. You always had a wonderful smile, a warm, cheery welcome, a contagious laugh (& a knee slap) - a bright spark in our days for all the McLeans. You will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Sending loving thoughts and hugs to all the Hobson“s, Martha & Lorne
