Born November 1, 1940, in the Belgian Congo. Died March 31, 2024, Easter Sunday, in hospital in Toronto. A woman of great inner beauty and light, one who gained the respect of all she met on life's journey. She was the first born of Dr. John Goddard Jones (2009) and Winifred Thomson (2005), medical missionaries in the Belgian Congo, and later practiced medicine in Denbighshire, Wales. She was educated at Clarendon School, an independent boarding school for girls, then located in Kinmel Hall in the Vale of Clwyd and known as "the Welsh Versailles." She was athletic and musical, and she had many friends there whom she kept for life. She loved the beauty of Wales instilled by her father. Kathryn later trained as a physiotherapist at King's College, London. She immigrated to Canada in 1964, where she eventually moved to Toronto, Ontario, to practise her profession. In 1977, she retired because of the medical challenges which restricted her enjoyment of life until her death. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rob; her sister, Elizabeth (David), and their children, Sarah (Terry), Jonathan (Sally) and Kate (Ron), in America; and in England, her sister-in-law, Janet, and children, Emma (Duncan), James (Ali), and Richard (Liz). Her brother, Howard, predeceased her in 1988. She was always grateful for her many friends and cousins who kept in touch when she was unable to reciprocate. We are grateful to her many doctors and nurses who sought to help her through her many challenges. Our special "church family" were always supportive through six decades. We will celebrate her life on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge Street, Toronto, at 11:00 a.m., reception following the service and later interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The service will be webcast at
