DEWAR, Kenneth John (Veteran WWII)
Peacefully, Tuesday, April 22, 2003, surrounded by his family at home, Ken Dewar, born June 30, 1923 in Ottawa. Loving husband and life friend to Marion (Bell) for over 51 years. He was a loving, kind and wise father to Robert (Elizabeth), Elizabeth (Darren), Cathy (Jerry), Paul (Julia), and Elaine. He was a beloved and cherished grandfather to Maeghan, Joshua, Marley, Natasha, Emily, Sarah, Alisha, Zachary, Amira, Nathaniel, Salema, Jordan and Akira. Dear brother of Harold (Anita). Son of the late Kathleen (Lynch) and Cecil Dewar. Ken was blessed with a sharp mind and even sharper wit that never failed to amuse, entertain and enlighten those who had the pleasure of his company, whether it was over bridge, or just listening and dancing to Jazz. He was a pillar of strength, not only to his family and friends but also to his community and his country. Ken and his life will be remembered, celebrated and honoured at a Mass of Christian Funeral on Friday, April 25, 2003 at St. Basil's Church at 10 a.m. In memoriam donations to the Lung Association, University of Ottawa Heart Institute or Oxfam Canada appreciated.
