Kenneth KETCHEN Obituary

KENNETH NORMAN KETCHEN, C.L.U., Ch.F.C. May 31, 1937 - May 20, 2021 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Ketchen, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 63 years, Donna and their children, Mark (Anita Tomins), Stephen (Janice Durand), and Sandra. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Judy. He was a fun and devoted Grandpa and Poppa to Kelly, Jeremy, Jackie, Rebecca, and Natalie. Ken was one of the youngest people ever to be hired by the London Life sales division in 1958 and spent 50 successful years in the life insurance business, mainly in management. He ended this part of his career with the Empire Life Insurance Company in Kingston and subsequently ran their brokerage office in Toronto. Post-retirement he started "Orchardview Financial Services," his own consulting company. Ken lived life to the fullest with Donna, enjoying travel adventures around the world, many rounds of golf, and often playing host to family and friends. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at Sinai Health.
