KEVIN McCREADIE Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Andrew McCreadie from natural causes on July 2, 2025. He was 64. Kevin was a consequential and respected business leader with a deep understanding of financial markets and the economy. He will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, innate generosity, dry sense of humour, constant curiosity, and formidable intellect. Kevin will be greatly missed by the many whose lives he shaped. Kevin was born on August 14, 1960, in Lodi, New Jersey, the youngest son of John and Margaret McCreadie. He is survived by his wife, Melanie McCreadie and their sons, William Sargent McCreadie, 25, and Ian James McCreadie, 20. He also leaves behind his brother, John Thomas McCreadie and his wife Diane, his sisters; Kathy McCreadie and Debbie Ullman, and her husband Michael. Kevin began his 43 year career in finance in 1982 at J.P. Morgan in New York, and while there, received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He spent over 16 years at J.P. Morgan, rising to become a senior portfolio manager. In 1999, Kevin joined Brown Investment Advisory as a Partner and Head of Portfolio Management. He then became the President and Chief Investment Officer of Mercantile Capital Advisors in Baltimore. In 2008, Kevin joined PNC Capital Advisors as President and CIO, leading a division of one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. Kevin joined AGF Management in Toronto in 2014 as President and Chief Investment Officer, before becoming both CEO and CIO in 2018. His leadership, vision, and dedication played a pivotal role in shaping the firm into what it is today. Kevin was instrumental in growing the firm's assets under management to more than $53 billion, introducing new strategies in alternative investments, private markets, and ETFs. He will be remembered for many things, in particular, his passion for investing and portfolio management, and his personal mentorship of employees. He was a member of the Business Council of Canada and previously served as Co-Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce's Council for Women's Advocacy. Kevin's interest in financial dynamics and his knowledge of current events were endless. When he wasn't working, he relaxed by reading the paper and listening to music. Kevin found quiet joy in collecting wine and brought his investing mind to researching and curating his cellar. He was active his entire life, and particularly enjoyed sailing, golf, and skiing with his family in Vail, Colorado. The family will receive visitors at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on Monday, July 14th, from 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass in Kevin's memory will be held at St. Basil's Catholic Parish, 50 St. Joseph Street, Toronto, Ontario, on Tuesday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. A link to the livestreaming of the service will be available on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Best Buddies Canada or the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.

Dearest Melanie, Will, and Ian,
We are so very sorry for your great loss. Kevin was an amazing person. He made a true impact in so many ways, and he was a supportive and kind brother in law, and Uncle to Elizabeth & Kevin.
This sudden passing is surreal and very difficult to process. We pray for your grief to be lessened by the knowledge that Kevin will always be a guiding light for you all now as you move forward in this life. May you experience a deep abiding peace.
Love to you always,
Anne & Jim

My condolences to Melanie, William and Ian. Kevin was a good friend who I met when he moved to Chicago with JPMorgan in the late 90´s. I enjoyed Kevin´s friendship, candor, sense of humor and thoughtfulness. He was smart too. My wife and I were there when Kevin and Melanie first met and were so happy they found one another. I´ll always have the greatest respect for Kevin and know his legacy will be lasting. RIP my friend. Chris Deveny
