It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Laszlo Bodnar, at Baycrest Residence, at the age of 94. Laszlo Bodnar was born in Hungary and came to Canada in 1961. Beloved husband of the late Marta Bodnar, who passed away in 1998. Loving father of Ana Bodnar and Julia Bodnar. Future father-in-law of Ana's fiance, Dennis. Uncle to Veronica Czeisler in London, England. Beloved brother to the late Irene, Imre and Panni.

Laszlo Bodnar was an economist by profession and his true love was philosophy. Following his retirement, he received a Ph.D. in philosophy at the age of 69. His curiosity for learning was always with him and it inspired those around him. He was concerned for the well-being of others and held strong beliefs about social welfare. Memorial donations can be made to Covenant House or Doctors Without Borders, organizations which he supported.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. West, Toronto, Ontario M3J 2P1. Phone: 416-663-9060.
