She was very generous and sweet, as well as creative. I am sorry we didn't stay in touch after university.

I am so sorry for your loss. While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Laura, I did know Lee, her sister. That friendship was dear to me although I have not been in touch for decades. Please feel free to contact me any time to share your thoughts and feelings. Greg

I just saw this sad news as I was recalling Laura's wonderful contribution to the gardening world through her part ownership of the venerable Cruickshank's Bulbs in the 1990s and in her own garden. I still have one of the fashionable garden smocks I bought from Cruickshank's in 1994 - and wore to the Chelsea Flower Show 30 years later. I will think of Laura when I wear it this spring. My sincere condolences to Jay and the family.
