Leo Wolynetz
Passed away peacefully on May
31, 2017, surrounded by his
loving family. Born November
24, 1926, Leo lived in Kitchener,
Ontario, until his recent move to
Toronto. His career spanned
decades as the owner of H
Wolynetz Ltd, The Gown House
of Kitchener. He served as the
treasurer of Beth Jacob
Congregation of Kitchener-
Waterloo and was an integral
part of the Jewish community
He was involved with many
charitable organizations,
including United Israel Appeal
and B'nai Brith. Leo's foremost
passion was family; spending
time with his children,
grandchildren and great-
grandchildren brought him his
greatest joy. He will be missed,
loved, and remembered by all
his family and friends. He is
survived by his loving wife of 62
years Sylvia Wolynetz; children
Rachelle Wolynetz Frankel and
Larry and Lori Beth Wolynetz;
grandchildren Tamara and Zach,
Noah, Talya, Yael and Baruch,
Aliza, Elie and Cara, Noam and
Lauren, and Orly; great-
grandchildren Gidon and Hadar;
sister Sarah Glatt; brother and
sister-in-law Harry and Sylvia
Lieberman, Maxine Lieberman,
and a large extended family
Thank you to Jino, Rinu, Irene
and Varsha for the care and
respect they showed him. He
was predeceased by brothers-in-
law Ernie Glatt and Max
Lieberman. The family asks that
donations be sent to Hadassah
WIZO, the Association of
Soldiers of Israel, or a charity of
your choice.
