THOMAS LEON DRAYTON
Poet, author, sculptor, clergy - Passed away peacefully in hospital after a sudden illness, surrounded by his family October 24, 2007. Adored son of Honey Bonner Drayton, loyal brother to Leona, Alton and the late Laura Drayton. Beloved father of daughters Shelley (El Hyndman) and J'bai (Roland Deschamps) and son Tao (Andresa Sisson). Sharing in their sorrow, their mothers Kathryn Drayton and Anne Deacon. Loving Granddad of Sebastien, Tessa, Scoller, Marshall and newborn grandson. Raised in California, Thomas' travels led him to settle in the Toronto area in 1971 where he became well known for his fine vintage clothing stores, most recently Cabaret on Queen St W. He will be remembered for his megawatt smile and spontaneous generosity, uplifting hearts of friends and strangers alike when they least expected it. Sincere thanks to staff of PMH and Mt Sinai. The family invites all to join in a CELEBRATION OF THOMAS' LIFE on Sunday November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at The Great Hall, 1087 Queen St W. Toronto.
