Mr "Tret" was my home room teacher in Grade 10x at 2 Wing, Grostenquin, France, 1962-1963. He was a great teacher.

How lucky I was to walk into "Mr. Tret's" Grade 9 classroom in 1963 on an RCAF base near Grostenquin, France. And how even more fortunate to have reconnected with him and Rosy decades later in Toronto for hiking and dining. Leon was always so interested in others and thus, so interesting to others. Rosy, he was one in a million.

Dear Rosy;
Don and I are so very sorry for this great loss. Leon was such an extraordinary man....a true Renassance man.....It was always a joy for me to have a conversation with him-he was so knowledgeable and appreciative of great music. The conversation at Laura's unforgettable dinner parties were so stimulating and enjoyable. I enjoyed hearing about your extensive travels. May he rest in peace, and dear Rosy, you are held in the hearts of all your dear friends who care so deeply for you at this time. Let us know how we can help.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

Dear Rose! Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of your beloved husband. I always will be fortunate to have known a great man. Dr. Tretjakewitsch assisted me with a second year final essay in one of my second year undergraduate history courses that I was enrolled in at the University of Toronto. His knowledge of history provided me a clearer understanding of facts and dates. His ability to explain factual information will always be remembered. In addition, I remember the days of him collecting money for the Cathedral Choir at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto, talking with him in after Church Liturgies and also seeing him at the annual Radonitsa prayers at York Cemetery. ETERNAL MEMORY!
