Serving with Lesley on the board of HLF for 6 years was fun and impactful! Lesley made a difference in the lives of students in the Halton District School Board. Our model was shared with and copied by other school boards all over. I don't know anyone who was as passionate about the cause of removing financial barriers for students, as Lesley was - her spirit and her smile will most certainly be missed!

Lesley had everyone at Prosperity One wear pink to support HDSB's pink shirt day. She and Katherine also joined our school Walk for ALS. Always so caring and supportive.

Lesley is an amazing and dynamic leader. She was passionate about helping others and was a true support for so many families in Milton with her collaborative work with the Halton District school board. Lesley is a true inspiration for all of us. Love, Jacquie Newton

I curled on Monday nights for a few years with Lesley and also volunteered on the same United Way committee for a few years. She was always super chatty and friendly.
My deepest condolences to those that loved her.

John & Katherine, I offer you my heartfelt condolences.
I met Lesley when she joined the Milton Curling Club. Kate and I were already competing Monday nights and when Lesley joined the draw, it wasn´t long before we were all fast friends. That friendship continued long after she stopped curling and as Kate has mentioned our get togethers often revolved around food, drink (wine) and catching up.
Lesley and I also had a professional relationship through HDSB. The tremendous work she did within the HLF is to be commended. I can tell you, I saw firsthand, many times, the positive impact those funds had on the children and families they supported. A contribution she was always very proud and humbled to be a part of.
So many memories and so many stories...we had a lot of fun over the years. Lesley was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss John & Katherine, it's hard to believe the world no longer gets to have Lesley in it.
I remember the night I met Lesley it was at a UW event and she was wearing this gorgeous blue dress, who knew within a few months of this I would meet her again as she singed up to Curl at the Milton Curling Club. We became fast friends and curled Monday nights together for years. Our paths also crossed professionally and we worked together on a lot of different fundraising events. John, Lesley, Adam and I curled for years together in the annual Sweetheart Spiel in Niagara Falls. Once Lesley stopped curling then it was often burger lunches or dinners with Jane and I. We were so happy to of been part of John and Lesley's wedding two years ago. I will treasure all the memories we have made over the last almost 20 years. She will be greatly missed.
