DR. LESLIE EDWARD JOHNSTON With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Leslie Edward Johnston, a distinguished scholar, devoted educator and cherished family member, who passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023. Leslie was a beloved grandfather, father and husband. His enduring 57-year marriage to Eleanor was a testament to the strength of their bond. Leslie's love extended to his grandchildren, Catherine and Amanda; and his children, Kirsten and Ian (with Lara). Leslie's family circle included his siblings, Donald (deceased), Murray (Andrea) and Beverly (John Kearns, deceased). A Celebration of Life will be held at Melville United Church in Fergus, Ontario, on December 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to Wellington Terrace or the Alzheimer Society in memory of Dr. Leslie Edward Johnston.
