Libby SHILLER Obituary

LIBBY SHILLER On Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Devoted and loving wife of the late Howard for 57 years. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Susan Shiller and Paul Medline, Ilene Shiller and Mark Klingbaum. Adored grandma of Laura, Evan, Alissa, and Adam. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Stanley and Elizabeth Weinstein, the late Sidney and Nettie Weinstein, the late Zelig and Rita Weinstein, the late Isabelle and Eli Rotblatt, and Arthur and the late Sandy Shiller. Beloved daughter of the late Isaac and Bertha Weinstein. Libby was a true lady-classy, funny, smart, and elegant, with unmatched joie de vivre. She was incredibly giving and loved to take care of others. Known for her incredible themed parties and dinners, Libby was the ultimate hostess and turned every occasion into a memorable celebration, right down to the costumes, table settings, and loot bags. Howie and Libby enjoyed many wonderful trips, whether by car, train, or ship. She fiercely loved her little Buttons-'the best girl in the world.' We will miss her warmth and kindness, her infectious smile, and her soft sweet hugs, which were all a part of who she was right up until the end. Thanks to the wonderful staff at 147 Elder for their exceptional care. Thanks also to Sandra Marriott for her companionship over many years; and to Letty, Florence, Margie, and Amie for their care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Canada 1-800-616-8816 or to Beit Halochem 905-695-0611.

Mrs. Shiller was one of a kind. Her beautiful smile always, her hilarity non stop, her love and affection for her family and friends of her family....Always gracious and fun. She will live on forever for those lucky enough to have known her. She was some kind of wonderful. "How-ard..."
