Lionel GAUER Obituary
LIONEL PHILIP GAUER Passed away on November 15, 2021, at Walden Circle Retirement Community, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Lorna. Devoted father to Brian and Bruce (Lesley). Much loved grandpa to Lindsay, Nicole, and Lindsey. Lionel was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1929, moving to Vancouver, BC in the 1940s. He attended Magee High School then graduated from University of British Columbia with a commerce degree. He worked his entire career with Simpsons-Sears/Sears Canada, moving east to Toronto in the 1960s. In his spare time, he was active coaching hockey and baseball and as a Cub Scout leader. Upon retirement, he and Lorna enjoyed travelling through Europe and the United States. A private cremation will take place. If desired, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Lorna, Brian and Bruce,
I'm so sorry to hear of Lionel's passing. I have many fond memories of our visits together over the years. Crazy big, fun family reunions, holidays, etc... He was always very warm and kind. He will be missed. Thinking of you all, sending hugs to you xoxo Noel
