LORNE LESLIE DAVID PRINCE October 18, 1948 July 1, 2022 Lorne died unexpectedly at age 73, at his home in Georgina. Lorne was born in Toronto to William Louis Hector (Bill) and Joyce Adelaide (Chatterton) Prince. He was the younger brother of Ross and Garry Prince. Lorne grew up in 'the beach' around the large extended Prince and Chatterton families and attended Malvern Collegiate. Lorne was a life-long learner with an interest in spirituality and addiction counseling. He received an Honours BA from Glendon College in 1976, his Master of Divinity from Trinity College (University of Toronto) in 1996 and a PHD in PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disease) in 2015. Among his various jobs, he consulted for the US Army, was a pastor at St George's Anglican Church in Sutton and a chaplain at Sibbald Point Provincial Park. Lorne had some challenges in life which he faced bravely, including physical difficulties that were a result of his throat cancer diagnosis and treatment. Lorne was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Garry Edward Prince (2020). Lorne is survived by his dear friend and former wife, Lorraine Heaton; his brother, Dr. William Ross (Carol) Prince; his nephews, Ian (Brynn) Prince and David Prince; his nieces, Andrea (Bruce) Durrell and Gail Prince; as well as five great-nieces. He will be missed. Celebration of life and scattering of ashes will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, at St. George's Anglican Church, 408 Hedge Rd. Georgina L0E 1RO.
