Dear Meredith, Don't know if you remember me, but I worked for Imperal Trust (RHW) from 1976 until 1987. I remember Lorne very well and I know that he will be missed. Quite the gentleman he was. He was always very kind and respectful to the employees of Imperial Trust. My son and I were very fortunate to have been able to see the EXPOs from Lorne's seats many many times. I also spoke with you on several occasions and enjoyed each conversation. I remember very well when you youngest was born.

My sincere condolences to you and yours.

Meredith and family,

Deepest regrets and heartfelt sympathies on the loss of Lorne. During one of my last conversations with him well before he became ill he expressed his worries about the possibility of his life ending as it did and the drain of energy upon all of you should it happen. All of us in our family wish that the sadness and suffering of the last few years at the end of a remarkable life could somehow have been prevented.

With sympathies,

Bob Gales
