Francesca and James, my condolences. I only knew you briefly at JCI. I met your delightful and charming mother only a few times but she left a lasting impression. Take care.

I was saddened to read of Lorraine Thomson's passing and I extend my sincere condolences to her family in this difficult time. She was a nice lady and I recall her appearing as a guest panelist on Front Page Challenge, from time to time back in the late 1960s. She once came through my Customs counter at the airport, back in 1978 or so, when she was returning from Moscow. I clearly recall her nice smile and pleasant manner.

What a lovely lady. I had the pleasure of working with Lorraine on a number of her projects at CBC, as well as with Mr. Parker. When he first told me Lorraine was his mother in law I thought he was pulling my leg. My deepest sympathies to Fred and the rest of the family.

So sorry about your loss. I met your mother on a number of occasions, including Jesse and Leeann's wedding and thought she was a lovely woman. Prayers and thoughts with you and your family.

Frannie and Fred-I am so sorry to read about Lorraine. As dancers (and CBC colleagues), my parents knew and loved her. Because of them , I knew her too and then she married Uncle Knowltie who I adored. Lorraine was an elegant, bright and affectionate woman and I always enjoyed her. I still tell everyone about her annual Christmas brunch dishwasher salmon. Thee best. Much love. Nina

I met Lorraine in the early 1950s, when she was a dancer on CBC variety shows and I was working as a technician in the studios. Somehow, over the years, we'd keep running into each other, and each time it was always a delight to see her. I will miss her, indeed. May I offer all my sympathy, Fred.

I have many fond memories of Lorraine Thomson who hosted many parties and sleepovers for Francesca’s friends. We danced, played games and enjoyed many happy get togethers. Sending hugs to Francesca and the family at this time. RIP Lorraine Thomson.

We fondly recall Lorraine and Knowlton's legendary holiday brunches which they hosted for decades. There were three of them each December, attended by luminaries from the worlds of Canadian arts, politics and entertainment (along with regular folks like us!). Lorraine made everyone feel welcome and charmed us all with her sparkling wit, her warmth and generosity. In later years we saw the joy she took in her family and how she struggled bravely to carry on after the loss of her beloved Knowlton. May she now rest In peace and may her children and grandchildren take comfort in their memories of this special lady.
