In Loving Memory of Luanne (nee Pyette, April 30 1939 - December 25 2025) Luanne Gamoyda passed away peacefully, in her 87th year, surrounded by her loving family. Luanne had a deep faith and her life was marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, and she had a calm gentle spirit which brought comfort to all who knew her. Luanne was the steady rock of her family. Her presence was one of quiet strength, unconditional love, and unwavering support. Luanne will now reunite with her beloved husband of 60 years, Albert Gamoyda. She is survived by her four children, Marsha Christie (Late Peter), Lynda Wookey (Ian), Sandra Miller (Rick) and Greg Gamoyda (Sharka); twelve cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Candace (Ameet), Scott, Hillary (Mike), Peter ( Katie), Late Jonny, Katie (Ari), Emma (Grayson), Caleb (Stephanie), Luke (Quinn), Jake, and Ella; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Luanne was born on Manitoulin Island, ON, to Norman and Dora Pyette, and grew up in Sault Ste Marie, ON, with her sister and five brothers, late Dolores Burk (Gary), late Norris (Sharon), late Nelson, Lester, Ronnie (Candace), and Alan (Cindy). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Luanne loved her home where she and her husband lived for the past 40 years in beautiful Hockley Valley. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the generations she nurtured so faithfully. Our heartfelt thank you to Marjorie for her care, support and kindness. "Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also and he praiseth her." - Proverb 31: Verse 28 Memorial donations to Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated (
