LUCIE E. NICHOLSON ALLEN November 16, 1928 - November 3, 2023 President emeritus of the Ontario Division of C.U.P.E. Peacefully passed away on the November 3, 2023 in Barrie, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas 'Bud' Allen. English by birth, Canadian by choice, Lucie served twelve years as president of the Ontario Division of C.U.P.E in their formative years. After retiring Bud and Lucie spent many happy years between Florida and Canada finally setting in Alliston, she leaves behind Kelly, Steven, Bruce, David, and their families. Lucie, has chosen to have a family only graveside interment with her friend Andrew Watkinson officiating. No flowers please. My condolences to Lucie's family at this sad time. Lucie was my awesome boss for many years, who became a supportive and interedting friend. Lucie led by example and enjoyed left-over cold pizza on many occasions with her staff. She was a good friend, always ready to listen and comment, guide and direct. We had some lovely conversations during her retirement and one cannot be sad at her passing, knowing she is with her beloved 'Bud'. Lucie and Bud were a super, loving couple I was blessed to know long before they became Mister and Missus. May happy memories of a loving mother and friend support Lucie's loved ones in their loss of a very vital force, Lucie.
