It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Lucy Zimmerman on Friday, April 13, 2012 in Calgary, Alberta. Beloved wife of the late Israel Zimmerman. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Oscar and Anna (Day) of Toronto and Mary and Ken Taub of Calgary. Devoted grandmother of Jodie and Stuart Frenkiel, Michelle and Daniel, Elana, Dina and Jeff Helper, Ari and Sarah Taub. Great Bubie of Madi, Courtney, Nick, Conaire, Jaxson and Savannah. Sister of the late Sabina Reiter and sister-in-law of Lea and the late Avraham Hochman, Judy and the late Herman Zimmerman, and Elu Reiter. A most caring, generous and unselfish woman and a survivor of the Holocaust, she will be greatly missed. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Wednesday April 18 at 2pm. Burial at the Shomrim Laboker Congregation Cemetery, Beth Hamedresh Hagodol Section, de la Savane. Shiva at Ruby Foo's Hotel in Montreal until Wednesday evening, continuing in Toronto at 161 Old Forest Hill Road from Thursday April 19 at 7:15 pm , and in Calgary at 60 Oakmount Way SW from Sunday April 22 at 7:15 pm.
