(née Ridings, November 6, 1947 – February 8, 2026) Our wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend, Lynn, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, February 8th, surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old. Lynn was born in Toronto to Stan Ridings and Hazel Campbell, and spent most of her life in the city she loved. She was a high school French teacher for many years - a career she poured herself into - and touched the lives of more students than she probably ever realized. Outside the classroom, Lynn could usually be found in the kitchen baking, at her sewing machine working on her latest project, or planning her next trip. She loved to travel and brought that same curiosity and warmth to everything she did. Lynn is survived by her husband, John; her children, Adam Chandler and Kristina Chester; her three grandchildren, Aiken, Everett, and Arla; and her sister, Patricia Pollock (née Ridings). She was predeceased by her parents. A viewing will be held at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, on Thursday, February 12th, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Etobicoke immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's York Mills Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Condolences may be made at
