LYNNE CARLISLE Obituary

(née Allen) Lynne passed away peacefully, at Mount Sinai Hospital, in Toronto, on the morning of December 20, 2025. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Patricia Allen, she is survived by her husband, Jim Carlisle; her sister, Deborah Bond, and brother-in-law, Scott Bond; nephew, Peter Bond (Chase); niece, Alison Bond (Mitch), and their children, Lizzie and William. Lynne and Jim were married 56 years, having met at Carleton University in 1966. They enjoyed travelling throughout the world, and spending time with their family and friends at their home in Toronto, cottage on Lake of Bays, and winter home in Sarasota. Lynne obtained a Bachelor of Journalism, and many years later followed up with a Masters of Education. Her career focused on internal public relations and communications primarily with financial institutions. In the last 10 years of her career she taught public relations at Humber College. She loved history, particularly British, sewing, crewel work, and shared with her sister Debbie, an enormous passion for cooking. Dinners were a highlight of gatherings with family and friends! A Celebration of Life will occur later this year with a date and location to be determined. The family is grateful for the care from Dr. Patel and his team, and many others, both at Mount Sinai Hospital and Bridgepoint. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to either at hospital at secure.supportsinai.ca.
