LYNNE TIMERMANIS Obituary

(nee Marion Lynne Gawley) A Life of Grace and Style: Remembering Lynne Timermanis - Lynne Timermanis passed away peacefully at home, on September 14, 2025, at the age of 83, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her strength, elegance, and the life she built with her late husband, Ludis, her partner for nearly 50 years. A devoted mother to her daughter, Lisa; cheerleader to son-in-law, Billy; and proud Nana to grandsons, Ben and Nic, Lynne shared an unshakable bond with her family. She was a mentor and friend to many, offering warmth, guidance, and her signature sparkle. Her life's journey took her from Toronto to Windsor, Grimsby, Burlington, Cobourg and later to Duncan, Victoria, and North Vancouver, where she made her home near her daughter's family. At 48, Lynne pursued her passion in England to become a professional cook. Over two decades, she didn't just make meals - she created magic, feeding people with her heart, crafting meaningful events, and teaching in kitchens where laughter and friendship flourished. From croquembouches to croquettes, her kitchen was her kingdom. Lynne was unforgettable, unapologetically herself, and fully present - entering a room with confidence, sizing up its energy, and leaving it brighter than she found it. Being her friend, whether for forty years or four months, was a gift, always accompanied by a story, a gentle critique, and often a glass of wine. Her life was rich with purpose and deeply felt. She touched lives, lifted spirits, and left her mark in meals, moments, and memories. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the North Shore Seymour Team nurses, whose care allowed Lynne to remain at home. Her legacy of love, beauty, and presence lives on in her family and all whose lives she enriched.
