Lyse MCBEIGH Obituary

LYSE MCBEIGH (née Guay) 1936 - 2022 Surrounded by the love of family, Lyse passed away on August 27, 2022. Devoted wife to Charlie for 62 loving years. Lyse was the beloved mother of Anne (Robert Gabriel), Michèle (Greg Szalay) and Mélanie (Derek Thomas). She was a doting and proud nana to 11 grandchildren: Kate (Wid), Alex (Julia), Charlie (Dubravka), Joe (Marlena), Michael, Maddie, Jack, Will, Leo, Patrick and Lucie and super-nana to great-grandson, Edward. Predeceased by beloved son Richard in 1992. She was the dear daughter of the late J. Marcel Guay and Paule Irène Guay of Lévis, Québec. After training as a Dietician at Laval University in Québec city, she ventured to Toronto in 1958 to learn English and met the love of her life. Lyse was a brave, intelligent and thoughtful person. Her kindness, loyalty and love will be forever remembered. Many thanks to the kind staff at Amica Bronte Harbour and to the attentive team at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Their compassion and competence in caring for Lyse helped ensure her final days were as comfortable as possible. Thank you to Dr. M. May, Dr. K. Boyal and Dr. T. Kazem for their help. A private family service has been held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada or to Patty's Place-Acclaim Health, Oakville, Ontario. Rest in peace Lyse. We love you. Online condolences may be left at www.koprivataylor.com.

Am so sorry for your loss! Lose and Charlie were our next door neighbors in Mississagua. We are from the USA, and treasured their friendship and close neighbors while we were there! Love, Helen and Tom
