Mabel MCLEOD Obituary

McLEOD, Mabel (nee Whiteford)
Peacefully at her home on Monday, April 21st. She is survived by her daughter Quita to whom she was a wonderful friend and support; granddaughter Sarah for whom held a special place in her heart and her sister Edith Currie with whom she held a lifelong conversation about their boarding school antics and life on the ranch. She was predeceased by her husband and companion Donald, only grandson John Andrew, parents John and Martha Whiteford, sister Florence and brother Ted. She will be remembered for her elegance, sharp Irish wit, lively discussions, love of a good party and entertaining, afternoons of bridge and her generosity to others. Thanks to her caregivers Alda, Esme and Margaret who helped to make her final months comfortable. A private family service was held. There will be a void in our lives but when we think of Grandma it will be with a smile.
