KNOX, Malcolm Campbell, D.S.C.
After a long and happy life, Malcolm Knox passed away on Friday August 1, 2003 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his wife Carolyn, he is survived by his children: Alayne (Malcolm Hamilton), Marilyn (Paul Daly), and Malcolm (Kathleen Schultz) and his grandchildren Lindsay, Craig and Heather Knox, and Murray, Colleen, and Margaux Daly. Malcolm served in the RC Navy in WWII reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for Bravery. He had a successful career in the shoe industry for over thirty years and then spent the next twenty eight in public service serving first as a City Councillor and then Mayor of Pointe Claire. Visitation will be held at the Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 highway 20 (Cartier Exit 49) Pointe Claire, Q.C. telephone 514-483-1870, Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. The funeral will take place on Thursday August 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Park United Church at 204 Lakeview Avenue, Pointe Claire, Q.C. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pointe Claire Swim Club c/o of the Pointe Claire Aquatic department, 98 Douglas Shand, Pointe Claire, Q.C.
