Maree CARROLL Obituary

MAREE ROSE (HARKER) CARROLL (nee KENNEDY) Peacefully at home Sunday, March 6, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. Sadly missing her are husband Kieran Carroll, her sister Kay and John Logan of Ireland, brothers Patrick and Marie Kennedy, Maurice and Lorna Kennedy of Ireland and Michael Kennedy of New Zealand and her much loved nieces and nephews. Adored by her new family of 6 children, their spouses and 15 grandchildren. The family would like to recognize and thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Trillium Hospital's oncology department for the compassionate care they provided Maree. Born in Ireland 67 years ago, Maree's experience as a flight attendant with British Airways stayed with her throughout her days, evidenced by her love of travel. Later, Maree moved to Canada and became a manager of customer training at Bell Canada and more recently enjoyed her time working at the Pine Center and for the City of Mississauga. Mrs. Carroll is resting at Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd, 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. (1 block west of Hurontario St.) Mississauga on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 11 Peter St. at Lakeshore Rd, Mississauga on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11 am, followed by cremation. Family and friends are welcome to join us at 65 Port St. East in the common room following the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Trillium Hospital or World Vision Canada would be greatly appreciated by her family.
