Margaret BOECKH Obituary

MARGARET ANN BOECKH
(nee Thibaudeau)
1929 - 2015

Ann passed away suddenly on
Monday, February 2nd, at
Niagara Health System's St
Catharines Site. Predeceased by
her adoring husband Jack, she
will be lovingly remembered and
greatly missed by her children,
John (Lynn), Peter (Debbie),
Doug (Joseline) and Carol
(Kevin), and by her
grandchildren, Brent, Colin,
Evan, Kaitlyn, Stephen and Tory.
Ann was a former Athlete of the
Year at Lawrence Park
Collegiate, and held both nursing
and arts degrees. She was a life-
long volunteer at several
churches and two hospices, and
supported a number of worthy
causes through her charitable
foundation. A former
championship lawn bowler, she
was a knowledgeable, die-hard
Toronto Blue Jays fan, never
met a bridge game she didn't
enjoy, and, over the years,
enriched the lives of nine canine
and feline companions. Her
many friends and fellow bridge
mavens in Toronto, Caledon,
Vineland and Mount Dora will
miss her keen mind and gentle
nature.
Ann's funeral service will be held
on Tuesday, February 10th, at
11:00 a.m., at St. Alban's
Anglican Church - 4341 Ontario
Street in Beamsville. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Doctors
Without Borders would be
gratefully appreciated.

Condolences to the family . Ann was a classmate of mine all through high school . Imagine my delight to find that she would be one of the 5 roommates for the 3 years of nursing training !. What a wonderful gal !!!! Unfortunately I am not able to be there from BC --- just arrived home from Mexico on Sunday. Thanks for this picture of her. We'll celebrate her life and remember you in our prayers as you mourn your loss .

Remembering a bright spark, shining for those precious years

To a sorrowingfamily: As the years go by, some of life's experiences tend to fade away. This is not the case with Tibby, who gave so much of herself, as one ot the five aspiring, room-sharing student nurses at the Toronto General Hospital's Nurses Residence , I (we) remember her so dearly - her friendship, her winning, but capricious smile, her down-to-earth demeanour, her determination to make things work. In recent years our nursing sisterhood still held us together, and I will miss her greatly. Joan Sutherland (Telfi)

The staff at Mark's Automotive will certainly miss your mom's visits. She was always such a great person to chat to in the office always so up beat. Did not have any idea she was that age. Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss she will be missed by many. Liz Church (Mark's Automotive)

I had the enormous good fortune to live next door to Ann Boeckh on Almond Court in Heritage Village, Vineland, from 2007. We shared a lot of ups and downs over those years. I also heard something of her remarkable life and got to know this profoundly kind, generous, gentle, wise woman. I will miss her very much. My condolences to Ann's beloved family.

Your parents were very good to my parents, Dorothy and Ridley Doolittle, in Mount Dora - they were in the same building - and in St. Catharines when your mom used to visit my mother in her apartment when she was housebound. Your mom always had a smile and twinkle in her eye, and loved keeping up with family news. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
