Great-grandmother of Andreanne and Alexander Payne; of Simon, Benjamin and Samuel Davis; and of Cameron Payne. Aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Predeceased by her sister Mary and by six half-siblings.
Maggie was a truly valiant woman who wrestled most of her life with recurrences of bi-polar disorder. She will be remembered for her great courage, her sparkling gaiety and her love of family, friends and church. We celebrate her life, we grieve her passing, and we rejoice that she is at peace at last.
The family want to thank many people for their compassionate care and support of Maggie: first her devoted caregivers, Kathy Mosier of Wolfe Island and Mae Kane of Kingston; the dedicated medical and nursing staff at the Kingston Psychiatric Hospital, especially Kathy Heere, RN; and the sensitive staff at Providence Manor; all these people cared for and about Maggie, and we have truly appreciated their support.
