MARGARET MALONE

(August 20,1942 - February 6, 2026) Passed away peacefully, on February 6th, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Margaret was a mother, grandmother, community health nurse and professor. She leaves behind her three children, Catherine, Trish and Michael; grandsons, Josh, Jack and Charlie; brother, Thomas and Louise; sister, Katherine and Bernard McEvoy; sister-in-law, Monica; many nieces and nephews, and many friends and colleagues. Margaret was a dynamic force in this world who taught and promoted social justice, equality and women's rights. Special thanks to her caregivers and staff at Scarlett Heights Residence and St. Joseph's Hospital for caring for Margaret in her final stages of Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's memory to the Alzheimer Society. Funeral will be at Bedford Funeral Services, 159 Eglinton Ave. West, on Wednesday, February 18th at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation on Tuesday, February 17th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
