MARGARET MONCRIEFF Obituary
MONCRIEFF MARGARET , (PEGGY) MCINTYRE (NEE CLARK) Passed away at home on Sunday, October 31, 2004 after living with breast cancer for five years. She was a loving wife to the recently deceased Walter (Monty), devoted mother to Susan Jegins (Liman), Judy Moncrieff (Hilary Ferreira), Helena Moncrieff (Havard Gould) and Walter Moncrieff who died in 1986. She was also the proud grandmother of Katherine, Mark, Peter, Gwendolyn, Nell, Margaret, Randy and the late Craig. Peggy was a much-loved sister to Harold and Henry Clark, as well as the late Ethel Judson, Crawford Clark, and Fred Clark. Peggy was born in Aberdeen, Scotland November 14, 1918 and landed at Pier 21 in Halifax at the age of 10. After the loss of her mother soon after, she became a caregiver to the family, a role she embraced throughout her life. She reared her own family with all her heart and cared for many other children as a teacher at the YMCA Junction Day Care Centre. The family wishes to thank the many women from St. Elizabeth, VHA and WTSS for providing vital support over the past five years in fulfilling Peggy's wish to remain in her home. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Ser vice to be held at Morningside-High Park Presbyterian Church, 4 Morningside Ave., on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
