Margaret SHERAR Obituary

MARGARET ELLEN SHERAR (née Jackson) March 17, 1937 - July 3, 2023 After a lovely Canada Day weekend spent at the cottage with family, in the late afternoon of July 3, Margaret passed away suddenly, but peacefully, with family at her side. Loving mother to Andrew (Jeab), Peter (Kasia) and Michael (Jane). Wonderful granny to Alec, Jamie, Jenny, Katie, Julie, Matthew and Zoe. Proud great-grandmother to Henry and Oliver. Born in Croydon, England, to Houston and Edith Jackson and sister to David (Josephine), Margaret grew up in Weybridge, London, UK. After raising a family in Bristol and then East Grinstead, Sussex, with John Sherar, and working for many years as an Executive Assistant at Rentokil, Margaret retired and immigrated to Canada to join Michael and family. While enjoying walking with the Bruce Trail Club, Margaret met Franco Di Cosmo with whom she had a wonderful 13 years until his death in 2015. Margaret and Franco made many trips to visit Peter and family in England, and Andrew and family in Australia. Margaret will be dearly missed by all her family in Canada, England and Australia. The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville) from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 10th. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you consider a donation to the Bruce Trail Conservancy. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
