Margaret Elizabeth TROW

Margaret TROW Obituary

TROW, Margaret Elizabeth (Aunt Peg)

Peacefully at Briton House on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at the age of 86. Much loved daughter of the late Dr. Emerson and Isabel Trow. Predeceased by her siblings, Jane, Jim and Anne far too many years ago, Aunt Peg became the matriarch of our family and cared for and about us as she did selflessly for so many others. Her years as an Occupational Therapist, the contributions to her church and as a supporter of more organizations than we can list (she'd be annoyed if we did) are testament to this. She lost some of her extraordinary independence in the last few years but that gave her family and some very special friends the opportunity to be there for her as she had been for us for so long. She was there when we learned to swim in Granny's handmade lifejackets in Muskoka, entertained us every Christmas at Rosedale and helped us with the tragic losses of Jason Fraser, Janie Miller and David Trow. We, our spouses and our children will miss her dearly. Iain, Robert and Douglas Fraser, Judith, Katherine, Robert and James Orr and John Trow. We'd also like to express our gratitude to her caregivers over the last few months. You meant a great deal to her. Service at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto, on Thursday, August 8th at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the charity of your choice. She'd like that.
