Margot GUALTIERI Obituary
MARGOT GUALTIERI January 18, 2023 Margot was a woman of warmth, grace and kindness. She was energetic and curious about the world. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was much loved by her extended family. She was a dear friend. She was a generous supporter of her community and the arts. Margot died at home aged 93, in the house she lived in for most of her life and where she raised her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Roberto; and leaves her children, Eric (Linzi), Inger and Dominic (Dasha); and her grandchildren, Anders, Miranda, Imogen (Matt), Luciano and Marcello. Margot lived a full and rich life. She worked for External Affairs in Ottawa and Geneva. She was a diplomat's wife In Belgrade. She was an adventurous traveler from hiking in the Himalayas to spending time with family in Europe and South Africa. She loved the arts and was well read. She loved her house and her garden. She volunteered widely. While she faced some hardship, tragedy and physical health challenges she always retained her positive outlook and indomitable spirit. All in all she lived a remarkable and giving life. A celebration of her life will be held when her garden blooms in the spring.
