(née Wright) Died on September 29, 2025, in Toronto, surrounded by family at age 97. Predeceased by Robert, her husband of 45 years. Loving mother of sons Graham, Alan, Robert, and Jeffrey and predeceased by infant daughter Janice. Born in 1927 in Edmonton and grew up in Vermilion, Alberta. Beloved daughter of George and Barbara. Predeceased by brothers George, Charles, and Robin. After graduating with a degree in Home Economics and Household Science from the University of Toronto, Marie worked for several years as a dietitian before raising her family. Marie was a loving wife and mother and served actively in her community and church. She received an Arbor Award for outstanding voluntary service to the University of Toronto. Marie's interests included reading, travelling, cooking, music, and gardening. Marie was loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family is grateful for the care provided by personal support workers, including Marissa, Monaliza, Vanessa, Sofiia, Mandy, Cherry, Maria, and Methelda, Dr. Bradley Kaplansky, and the Palliative Care team at NYGH. Friends will be received by the family at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W., on Tuesday, October 7, from 6–8 p.m. A service of remembrance for Marie will be held at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, North York, on Wednesday, October 8, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's York Mills Anglican Church or the
