Marjorie DUNFIELD Obituary

DUNFIELD, Marjorie Kathleen (née Robins)
Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at Lion's Gate Hospital on August 3, 2002. Marjorie was born in Montreal on November 6, 1918, only daughter of Nursing Sister Gladys McLean Robins of Vancouver and Dr. T. E. Earl Robins of P.E.I. She was predeceased by her former husband John Watkins Dunfield, and is survived by her devoted daughters Pamela Douglas (Stephen), and Jane Dunfield (Michael Buchanan), five grandchildren Christopher (Lynnette Kissoon) and Sara Douglas (Darryl Sjerven), Kurstin (Deb Ouellet) and Amanda Leith, and Quinn Buchanan, and two great- grandchildren Kaela and Nathalie Kissoon Douglas. Marjorie was dearly loved by her family and friends, and was always known for her unconditional love, her generosity and sweet kindness.
Marjorie travelled with her mother to various nursing outposts in B.C. during her early years, graduated from King Edward High School in 1936, and played the concert piano on Vancouver radio. After raising a family in Kerrisdale, she spent her later years in West Vancouver. She was an avid reader and made weekly visits to her library, so in lieu of flowers donations to the West Vancouver Memorial Library for large print books would be appreciated by her family.
A celebration of her life is to be held at St. Francis-in-the-Woods, 4767 Piccadilly South, West Vancouver on Friday, August 9th at 2 p.m.
We will always hold her dear loving spirit close to our hearts.
