MacKINNON, Marjorie Rose (nee Ruppel) Royal Columbian School of Nursing Graduate, Class of 1949
After a brief final illness on January 19, 2003 at Almonte General Hospital near Ottawa, ON. Family and friends remember Marjorie's courage, dignity, wit, intelligence and beauty. Predeceased by her beloved husband Richard G. MacKinnon from Trail B.C., parents Fred and Agnes Ruppel, brothers David Henry and Iverson Frederick Ruppel and sister Kay Allen, all from Nelson, B.C. Loving mother of Carol (Richard Annett) and Ruth-Ann MacKinnon (Doug Salloum) of Ottawa, John MacKinnon of Edmonton, Margaret MacKinnon (Wayne McArdle) of London, England, and seven grandchildren. Survived by nieces and nephews Edward Ruppel, Ronalee Somers and Marilyn Somers of Alberta and Karen Armstrong, David Allen and Brian Allen of Nelson, B.C. Fondly remembered by staff at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington ON. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, in Ottawa, on Friday, January 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory to the MS Society of Canada would be appreciated.
