Mark HALL Obituary
HALL, Mark William
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mark, on April 11, 2014, in his 62nd year. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family. Mark was the beloved husband to Nancy for 40 years; loving and cherished father to Kevin, Brad (Barbara), and Marcie (Nick Ridpath); and much loved Grandpa to Lucas and Connor, Rylen and Charlie. He will be dearly missed by his brothers, Peter (Jan), and Larry (Tanis). Mark was the president of Hall Construction, past president of the Ontario General Contractors Association, and past president of the Hamilton-Halton General Contractors Association. He was a lifelong member of the Burlington Golf and Country Club, played squash at the Hamilton Thistle Club, and played baseball with the Burlington Soft Boys. Halls Lake held a special place in Mark's heart, and his love for his family, loyalty to his friends, and strong commitment to the construction industry was always evident. Mark's sense of humor was enjoyed by all, and he filled our lives with love, joy, and fond memories. He will never be forgotten. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire medical team at the Hamilton General Hospital for their expertise and compassion. There will be visitation at Smith Funeral Home (1167 Guelph Line, Burlington), on Thursday, April 17 from 5-8 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Sunday, May 25th, from 2-4 p.m., at the Burlington Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
