Losing a sister, especially an older sister, is like losing part of yourself, especially after your parents are gone because she carries memories of you from your birth though childhood and on and on. She knows your family history even before you were born. You will never stop missing her. If there's any comfort in knowing she is part of your memory in the cells of your brain, let that thought give you comfort. You will never be totally separated from her. I, too, have memories of Martha. I'm glad to have known her, if only for a short time. In my memory she is always smiling, laughing, and looking beautiful. It's wonderful that you are celebrating her life today in public and every day privately. Love to both of you, Lindsay and Sheila, from Marianne Schafer
