MARVENE MOORE

(August 14, 1934 – August 9, 2025). With deep sadness, the family of Marvene Moore (née Hastings) announce her peaceful passing in Oakville, Ontario. Raised in Toronto, Marvene attended Swansea Public School and Western-Tech. She married Donald Moore in 1957 soon after he graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and then settled in Oakville, where she raised five children in a busy, happy home. She was a devoted mother and wife, the family's moral compass full of love and light. Marvene is survived by her husband, Don; her children, Brett (Kathy), Julie, Shauna Clinning (Chris), Jim (Carol), and Nicole Allen (Jeff); 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, on Friday, September 12th, at 11:30 a.m., with reception to follow at 12:30 p.m. at The Oakville Club. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Churchill Place for taking such good care of her in her final years.
