Mary BOSWELL Obituary

Doreen passed away peacefully, with family by her side on March 14, 2024. Doreen was the loving and cherished wife of the late Allan; and mother of Ann. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Hilda Mumby; and sister of the late James (Bert) Mumby. Doreen spent her career as a dedicated teacher and librarian with the Toronto District School Board. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.), on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will be held at a later date.

I have volunteered with Yorkminster Park Meals on Wheels every Wednesday for 22 years. Mrs. Boswell was on my route, and I always looked forward to seeing Mrs. Boswell and having a quick chat when she would come to the front door and receive her bags of frozen food. While we chatted the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee would surround us. Mrs. Boswell was a favourite client of mine. I'm sorry I cannot express my condolences in person.
