MARY ANNE HOCKIN

(March 10, 1942 – August 4, 2025) With heavy hearts we share that Mary Anne died on August 4 after years of declining health and dementia. A loving mum/mom to her children, Joseph (Janet Read-Hockin) and Moira (Kevin Krempulec) and loving "Mammers" to her grandsons, Jack and Andy Krempulec, she leaves an enduring legacy of love, determination and acts of kindness. Mary Anne and her brother, John (predeceased), were raised in West Lorne, Ontario by their parents, the late John (Jack) and Elva Milner. She went on to become a Kindergarten teacher in Tillsonburg and London and latterly at BSS in Toronto. She loved teaching, music, nature and had an inherent curiosity. Her greatest sources of pride were her family, her life as a teacher and her home in Kincardine. Thank you to the staff at Nisbet Lodge, especially Patience, for all of their care as well as the 6th floor staff at TGH where she spent her final week surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held at St. Cuthbert's, Leaside Anglican Church (1399 Bayview Ave.) from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11th and the Funeral Service will be at Grace Church, Markham (19 Parkway Ave.) on Tuesday, Aug. 12th at 3 p.m. Reception to follow.
