MARY McCRIMMON Obituary

Pat passed away peacefully on the morning of December 30, 2024 in her 96th year. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald (1979), her dear son David (1981) and sister-in-law Dr. Mary McCrimmon (2016). She was the loving mother of Bruce (Jane) and James (Rebecca) and dear grandmother of Jack, Benjamin and Eleanor. The loving only child of James and Susan Janson. Pat grew up in Ottawa, graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Library Science from the University of Toronto. Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to read and travel and enjoyed a friendly game of bridge. Pat was a long-time active member of St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church (Leaside) and CFUW Leaside-East York, where she participated in numerous interest groups. In her later years, she became an active member of the community at Briton House and made many new friends. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Pat will be greatly missed by her family but will remain forever in our hearts. Sincere thanks to the Briton House staff and community of caregivers for their unfailing love and attention over the years. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to may donate in her name to St. Cuthbert's Church, 1399 Bayview Ave., Toronto (stcuthbertsleaside.com) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (heartandstroke.ca). A celebration of Pat's life will be held in the spring. Condolences may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
