MARY JEANNE OLIVER

(née Bowyer, 1930 - 2026)

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Mary Jeanne Oliver on March 22, 2026, in Owen Sound, ON, with her husband of 70 years, Leslie, at her side.  Mary Jeanne was born in Chengdu, China, at the Canadian West China Mission, and raised in Toronto.

With passion for music, education and volunteerism, Mary Jeanne (MusBac., A.R.T.C., R.M.T.) taught kindergarten, sang in choirs and, as piano teacher, brought music to generations of piano students in Aurora, ON. She was a supportive wife (Leslie), sister (Enid and Jack, d.), mother (Bill, Meryl and John), grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all she touched over her 95 years.
