MARY TAYLOR Obituary

(July 10, 1960 – July 10, 2025) Mary Maureen Taylor passed away on her 65th birthday, July 10, 2025, a date that she was determined not to miss. Her strength, independence, and unwavering sense of self were hallmarks of her character from an early age. At just five years old, despite being called Maureen at home, she confidently told her kindergarten teacher that her name was Mary - an early sign of the determination that would shape her life. Mary found true companionship and love with her partner, Brian Horeck. Together, they shared a deep connection, finding peace in the natural beauty of Northern Ontario. Whether at Orr Lake or Brian's cottage, she found joy in the simple pleasures like relaxing by the water and spending time outdoors. Brian's passing in 2018 was a profound loss, and she carried his memory with her until her final days. Mary is reunited in peace with her beloved partner, Brian; her parents, Patricia Ann Taylor and Arthur Taylor; and her brother, Kent Taylor. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Cory Bierma (Jennifer), Kyle Bierma (Rhoda), and Victoria Kutchera (Jake). Mary took immense joy in being a grandmother and aunt to Adrian and Camryn, Kenzie, Nick and Thomas, whom she all adored. Mary will be missed dearly by her siblings, Tom and Heather, and all who knew and loved her. Her strength, spirit, and deep love for her family remain her lasting legacy. Cremation has taken place, and family will have a private celebration of Mary's life. No flowers, please. Instead, a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation in Mary's honour would be appreciated.

Lovingly remembered and deeply saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. So many good times spent at Orr Lake as kids. So grateful for Art and Pats friendship and the lovely bridal shower Pat Taylor hosted for me in 1971. I also remember babysitting Maureen. She was so cute and full of wonder. May time help heal your sorrow.

Our heartfelt sincerest condolences to the family. I have many memories and stories, way too many for here.. as does Bob, but most of you know they grew up together at the cottage and watching her children grow and have thier own families, knowing her parents and grandparents. I've been and seen Fun teaching her how to drive her pontoon boat. That was fun....But her heart was deep in love with Brian. Mary, was a great lady and so funny. Even when a few wee sips of her wine. I hope her soul and being is now set free and truly happy. She is with her love and family. May she be at rest. May all family and friends be at rest and know she is pain free. Many hugs and kisses.
