Maureen MacCulloch, (née McMillan), died peacefully on August 14, 2025, in Collingwood, Ontario, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on May 4,1934, and raised in a large family, Maureen bravely boarded a boat at the age of 21 and emigrated to Canada with a single suitcase. Once in Toronto, Maureen promptly met and married a persuasive and charming Englishman, Patrick MacCulloch (1928–2016). Thus began a beautiful love story resulting in four children: Stephen, Gillian, Sarah, and Ian; and ten grandchildren; William, Jack, Catherine, Sean, Ethan, Ryan, Keara, Zoe, Jamie, and Charlie. Maureen was quick to laugh, fiercely loyal, and incredibly generous. She had many passions and talents and was a woman of energy and action. Whether it was working on a political campaign, heading up the home-school association, or sharing her amazing musical talents, Maureen was willing and able. In addition to her busy volunteer activities and the demands of being Mom to four and Nana to ten, Maureen also had time to exercise her entrepreneurial spirit, including opening a children's clothing store and later a successful executive relocation service. Pat and Maureen also traveled widely during their 59-year marriage. By far, their favourite destination was landing at the homes of their children and grandchildren in Ontario, Quebec, and Vermont. They were generous with their time and love and found great joy being surrounded by their large family. Maureen loved and was loved, and she will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to be in her orbit. The family is planning a private Celebration of Life in October. Donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the Collingwood Marine and General Hospital -
