I knew Maurice from the early 1980s. I ran ACLS courses at Mount Sinai and used Maurice as part of my faculty. He was a passionate educator and great teacher. In fact, he was one of the reasons I moved out to Credit Valley to be chief of the emergency department in 1997. He was a fabulous cardiologist and his patients revered him. He was a great teacher and educator. But most importantly, he was a wonderful colleague. He always had time to share a story and a cup of coffee. The allied health in our emergency department loved working with him - He was so respectful of everyone´s professionalism. His legacy will carry on here at Credit Valley where he is deeply missed.

I have just learned of Moishe´s passing from the Medical Alumni Assoc´s In Memorium. We were classmates and friends in medical school. His friendship, knowledge, advice and support were invaluable during the more challenging rotations. He was certainly a mensch. May he live on forever in your memories.

I went to school with Morris (Maurice), We were in the same grade together but Morris was in a different form. Morris was also my cardiologist after I moved to Mississauga. We often went to the North Y together to play badminton. Morris was one of the nicest guys I hung around with. He was also a very conscientious doctor. I saw Morris just before he retired and found out from one of his collegues that he was still working on a consulting basis. I will miss him.

Dear Mrs.Druck and Family,
I met Maurice in 1988 when I was the social worker for the cardiology unit and ICU. He was one of the nicest, caring ,devoted ,funny and professional physicians that I have had the pleasure of working with. Sometimes I would join Maurice and Dr.Clarke for coffee after their early patient rounds always setting me up for a good day with their banter and kibitzing. We shared many conversations about family and raising children and it was evident how much he loved all of you. Years later my dad became a patient and Maurice took wonderful care of him until his retirement.(my dad is going to be 95)
Maurice will forever be remembered.
My deepest condolences

I met Maurice before Credit Valley Hospital opened. He interviewed me in the kitchen of his home. I had the privilege of working with Maurice for many years. I will hold close the memories of the planning sessions, our talks of life and the wonderful laughter we shared. He was loved by all.
My most heartfelt condolences to Maurices’s family.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Druck at CVH. He was so helpful in sharing his expertise with the staff and approachable whenever I had a question about our cardiac rehab patients. He was caring and generous. He had a great work ethic: always in bright and early to care for patients and a family ethic too, making it home in time to watch the Y and R. He will always be remembered as one of the best!

I started work at Credit Valley Hospital at the same time as Maurice. There are doctors, no--individuals, who are intelligent and knowledgeable. But it isn't always the case that you have someone with those qualities and moreover who is kind and gentle. Maurice was the cardiologist I went to when I needed help in managing a problem. I could call him on the telephone; I could meet him on the ward or in the hallway and he always without hesitation provided the assistance I needed. My patients who saw him trusted his judgment completely and knew that he cared.
I have this clear memory every morning making rounds on my patients and then heading to the cafeteria for a coffee. There sitting together were Drs Clarke and Druck who had finished their rounds earlier having breakfast, usually laughing, and I would join them if I had the time.
My wife, also a physician, and I feel very, very sad at his passing and offer our sincere condolences. We have lost a wonderful, kind man.

Dear Mrs. Druck & Family
As you know from the last few times we spoke Mrs. Druck, Dr. Druck was a hero to me. He took such great care of my father, and they became friends over the years that he was his cardiologist. Dr. Druck came to the funeral home when my dad passed away and stood beside the casket talking with me, and while talking he started to cry over losing my father, his friend as he called him. It struck me then, as it has over all of the years I have known Dr. Druck what a lovely, compassionate and caring man he was. I have kept in touch with him since he retired, and we have been trying to catch up for a coffee forever now due to Covid putting a cramp in everyone's plans. When we spoke in May we discussed my waiting on my second vaccine and how his shots were going. We decided to try and shoot for July/Aug time frame to see how each of us was doing, and we both know what happened there. Even though Dr. Druck is no longer physically here, he will always remain one of my heroes, first for his great medical knowledge, but more importantly for his great humanity. I will arrange next week to underwrite a surgery through a charity I know to restore a child's eyesight in memory of Dr. Druck.
With heartfelt sympathy to all..........................

Maurice was someone I always considered a mentor and positive role model. As an intern and resident at Toronto Western Hospital in 1981-82 he was someone whom I and the other medical residents looked up to and admired for his attitude, clinical skills, and good nature. Condolences to his family, especially Susan whom I also worked with.

Such an extraordinary person who touched the lives of so many. I have such cherished memories of our friendship from long ago but will always remember Maurice as such a fine man who was so smart, kind, caring, generous, funny, passionate about medicine, devoted to his patients but so much more loving and devoted to his beautiful family. Rest and sleep well old friend. You will never be forgotten and will always be remembered because you were such a special person and a gift to us all.
