It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Maurice Strong after a long and interesting life on Friday, November 27th, in Ottawa with family by his side. Beloved husband of Hanne. Remembered with love by his children, Alice, Fred, Maureen (Bud), Mary Anne (Gregor), Kenneth (Catherine) and their Mom. Grandad to Jenna, Curtis (Liz), Sarah, Zachary, Colin (Melissa), Samantha (Luke), Laura, Ben, Katie, Heather and Joe. Great-grandad to Garrett. Stepdad to Kristina and Suzanne and stepgrandad to Jason, Andrea, Ian, Rashaun, Mato, Kia and Sina. Beloved brother of Joyce (Roy); predeceased by his sister, Shirley and his brother, Frank (Lois). Dearly missed by nieces, nephews, their families and, of course, Gizmo. Special thanks to the staff at the Rockcliffe Residence. A service for close friends and family will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Saturday, December 5th, at 11:00 a.m., with public memorial at a later date. Support for MFS' many heartfelt causes would make excellent tributes to a life spent mainly in public service and would be deeply appreciated.
