FISCHER, Medard (1942-2017)
After a short battle with cancer, Medard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Born in Koln, Germany, Medard is predeceased by his parents Medard Fischer and Berta Stein. He leaves behind his wife Deborah, daughter Samantha, son Medard Tyson, daughter-in-law Rowena White, granddaughter Lilianne, sister Lieselotte Stanzl, brother-in-law Gerd Stanzl, nieces, nephews and friends. Medard immigrated to Canada at the age of 14, with his mother. He worked his whole life in the financial sector at various financial institutions. He was a strong, intelligent and dedicated man. A Celebration of Life will be held at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 435 Davis Drive, Kingston, on Saturday, December 2, 2017, with the gathering starting at 11:00 am and the Celebration in Our Chapel at 12 noon. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Medard's name to the Kingston Humane Society or the UHKF Cancer Centre of Kingston General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
